Stojan Karajanov was born on 10th October 1950 in Lazaropole, Republic of Macedonia.
\nHe graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the St. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, in 1974.
\nSince 1974 he worked in the municipality of the city of Gostivar and in 1987 he was appointed as a Director of the Cultural Centre in Gostivar, where he worked until 1998.
\nIn 1998 he entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia, where he worked for the Department for European Countries.
\nFrom 2000 to 2004 he was posted as a Counsellor-Consul to the Embassy of the Republic of Macedonia in Brussels, Kingdom of Belgium, heading the Consular Department of the Embassy.
\nIn 2005 the Government of the Republic of Macedonia has appointed him as the Head of the Trade and Economic Office of the Republic of Macedonia to Prishtina, where he was the first Macedonian diplomat accredited to the Republic of Kosovo.
\nAfter the transformation of the Trade and Economic Office to the Liaison Office of the Republic of Macedonia in Kosovo, Karajanov was appointed Minister Plenipotentiary, and Head of the Liaisons Office of the Republic of Macedonia in the Republic of Kosovo.
\nOn 1st January 2010, the Government of the Republic of Macedonia appointed Stojan Karajanov as the first Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Macedonia to the Republic of Kosovo.
\nHe is married to Poleksija Karajanova and has two children.
\nHe is also a writer and author of several books and full time member of the Macedonian Writers Association as well as winner of several prizes for literature.
\nHe speaks fluent Albanian, English, French and Turkish language.<\/p>\n
